Inspired by several true stories from the 1980s, Lucky Miles tells the very human story of three refugees from different cultures, abandoned on a remote part of the Western Australian coast and left to fend for themselves. The three men begin an epic but confused journey; attempting to survive together and to survive each other during their desperate attempt to find evidence of civilisation in the harsh Pilbara desert.

In a refreshing comical touch, the film demonstrates the challenges many 'illegal' refugees face when seeking a better life in Australia and their search for evidence of the western, liberal democracy that they believe Australia to be.

Director: Michael James Rowland

Year: 2007

This looks like a great movie. Could you make it part of your review to give details like director, year, production company and running time so I could access a copy? This would also be good from a "moral rights" copyright perspective.
That's a really good suggestion, we'll look at including those details in the future.
